Freddie Mac Application
The Cottonport Bank offers fixed rate term loans for 15, 20, or 30 years. This loan is made available through the bank’s Freddie Mac program. We offer loans for home purchase or refinance. You will always pay Cottonport Bank for the term of your loan, so if you ever need assistance we are here for you.
The Cottonport Bank offers home equity loans and lines of credit that tap into the equity in one’s home. Both can be used for any purpose desired by the borrower. However, a line of credit has a term of ten years and an adjustable rate. The home equity loan offers a one-time disbursement of funds, while a home equity line of credit works like a credit card, allowing unlimited withdrawals while the limit has not been reached. Funds are accessed via check, telephone, or personal request.
The loan is similar to a credit card secured by your house. Whenever you want to draw on your line of credit, all you do is write a check. Unlike a credit card, there are no high interest rates and in many cases the interest you pay may be tax deductible. You simply write a check for whatever purpose and then pay on the balance borrowed. You can borrow against the value of your home and pay the balance as many times as you like within a ten year period.
